New Thoughts New Feelings Embodied

Embodiment as a practice of listening and choice.

New Thoughts New Feelings Embodied offers psychotherapy, yoga, embodied movement, and retreats grounded in presence, integrity, and care.

The work begins with listening, supporting you to make sense of your experience and reconnect with your own sense of choice, at a pace that feels possible.

Meet Moira

Hi, I’m Moira, a UKCP & BACP registered psychotherapist, yoga teacher, and movement facilitator. The way I work is relational and down to earth, guided by an I’m OK, you’re OK ethos and a deep respect for your autonomy.

I care deeply about healthy communities and the small, everyday ways we can soften out of performance and come back into connection with ourselves, with each other, and with the world we share. My symbol is a heart and a peace sign because love and peace aren’t abstract to me, they’re practices I try to live.

I’m a wife, a mum, a step-mum, dog mum, a grandma, sister, daughter, friend and all the other labels that we have, so I know real life is full, messy, and tender.  You’ll often find me studying and researching, with a coffee (and cake), chatting, walking with friends, Indie (our dog) or family, or at a yoga (class or retreat) or movement practice, practising what I share, imperfectly and wholeheartedly.

A therapeutic space beyond performance and conformity

This work offers you a therapeutic space that values presence, relationship, and ethical care. Whether you come for psychotherapy or movement, the focus is on supporting you to listen to yourself, make sense of what’s happening in your life, and respond with choice.

The work is paced, trauma-informed, and held within clear professional boundaries, with the understanding that there is nothing wrong with you, and that change happens through awareness and relationship rather than pressure or fixing.

Ways to work together

If you’re curious

You don’t need to know what you’re looking for to begin. You may arrive feeling anxious, stuck, confused, or simply wondering whether something could be different. This work begins with listening, to what’s happening in your life, your relationships, and your inner world and meeting that with care rather than judgement.

You’re welcome to take your time here. If something resonates, you’re invited to explore further or get in touch with any questions.

A space to come back to what matters to you. Coming back to ourselves, together.
